Going Where the Road Stops

“…so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid….’” Hebrews 13:6 NASB

I heard an advertisement for a missions group that provides food for the hungry in very remote areas. Their motto is “We go where the road stops.” They travel many miles into isolated regions to feed people that many of us (myself included) didn’t know existed.

Going where the road stops.

Walking in faith is like that. There are no signs, no road maps just the commitment to trust and the discipline of taking one step at a time, following the Cloud through the sometimes very scary terrain of life. We are often granted just enough information and just enough light to take only the next step.

Lord, help me to faithfully follow You especially when “the road stops.” Help me commit to trusting and believing, knowing You will never abandon me, You will always provide for me, and that Your plan is not only best but far better than anything the eye has seen, the ear has heard or my mind could possibly image (1Corthinains 2:9). Help me choose to ignore my fears and walk the sometimes dark road before me remembering that You, my God and my Good Shepherd, will always walk with me.
